Interested in STEM science? The Third Annual Women in Science Conference is a celebration of women in all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) professions. Hosted by the Emerald Coast Science Center, the evening will consist of inspirational presentations from professional women in STEM careers. Proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Science Center's Girls Engaged in Making (GEM) Workshops.
All ages are welcome, especially middle school and high school students looking to discover careers in STEM. Guests will have a chance to mingle with the speakers and other guest professionals. Food and drink provided.
This year, speakers include members of the Air Force Research Laboratory, Northwest Florida Society of Women Engineers, Bit-Wizards, and more. The conference topics to be discussed include groundbreaking moments from each speaker's career, how these events helped shape their careers, overcoming adversity, and advice they would offer to young women interested in joining STEM fields.
