    Axient is seeking a Weapons Systems Engineer (Senior PAPE) to support our customer at Eglin AFB, FL

    Responsibilities

    • Will apply theoretical and practical knowledge of weapon systems engineering to the DoD acquisition process.
    • Review and evaluate armament programs portfolio  
    • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations  
    • Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems. 
    • Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives. 
    • Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies.  
    • Conduct cost analysis  
    • Provide proposal analysis support  
    • Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved and entered into a system requirements baseline (functional, allocated, and product). 
    Requirements 
    • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance. 
    • MS degree + 15yrs;
      • Or, PhD + 5yrs
    • Degree program must be ABET accredited and relevant; Experience must be relevant.
    • Possess knowledge and experience in the development of explosive specifications, build and safety 
      procedures, and qualification plans.
    • Knowledge and experience is required in the analysis and test of 
      explosive material to assess explosive performance and conformance to requirements.
    • Knowledge of 
      the evolving requirements surrounding insensitive munitions is also required.
