About Us

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast is a 86-bed community hospital located just east of Destin in Miramar Beach, Florida. Since opening its doors in 2003 to patient care, the not-for-profit hospital continues to grow steadily in size and services, and continues to fulfill its mission to improve the health of the community at large, with special attention to service of the poor. Recognized nationally for high quality, compassionate and safe healthcare, the hospital continues to receive awards on its exemplary patient experience and excellence in patient safety from Truven Health Analytics and HealthGrades, respectively. Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Emerald Coast has expanded its 24 hour Emergency Department, added a Family Birth Place, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Cancer Center, additional medical/surgical units specializing in Joint and Orthopedic surgery, and soon a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
