Air Force Enlisted Village Receives Grant from Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation
Shalimar, Florida (July 2, 2020) – Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation.  This gift comes during a season when most of our country is experiencing devastating financial losses due to COVID-19 and enables the Air Force Enlisted Village to continue to maintain its vigilance, safety, and care for the health of more than 550 senior living residents and over 100 staff members.
Air Force Enlisted Village is monitoring the health of everyone entering the campus, picking up and delivering medications to residents, providing delivered meals so residents can stay safe at home, providing the constant supply and disinfecting products/personal protective equipment, and staffing to work around the clock cleaning every building at the retirement community.
The Air Force Enlisted Village has had support from many notable figures throughout its history including comedian Bob Hope.  In 1978, Bob Hope performed what would be the first of many benefit shows for the organization. Bob and Dolores Hope played a fundamental role in the development of Air Force Enlisted Village.
